Abstract
The aims of this study is to find the determinants that affects the household consumption
expenditure in Malaysia. Three factors have been short-listed which are the household
income, consumer price index (CPI) and also the interest rates. The data are being
regressed by using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS). OLS methods are being used in
order to analyze the relationship between the variables. The estimation results show
that the household consumption expenditure is significant with household income and
CPI. Meanwhile, the interest rates is not significant with the household consumption
expenditure.
