Learning music via blended learning at UiTM Faculty of Music: a study on learners characteristics / Fatin Nur Asyiqin Mohamad.

According to website of faculty Music UiTM Shah Alam, Faculty Music began as the Department of Music in 1984 and was situated under the School of Art and Design. Subsequently, the School of Art and Design submitted a proposal to offer the Advanced Diploma in Music which was equivalent to a General degree. This course was approved by the Ministry of Education on 21st June 1983 and the first batch of students entered in 1984 under the Department of Music, School of Art and Design. UiTM was the first institution of higher education in the country to offer a degree in music. Furthermore in 1998, The Music Department was subsequently transferred to the Faculty of Performing Arts. However, with the approval to offer the Bachelor of Music Education (Hons). Degree, UiTM Faculty of Music was approved bythe UiTM's Executive Board in 2006. The faculty is currently situated in UiTM's Section 17 Campus, Shah Alam. The UiTM Faculty of Music offers a variety of music programmes at the Diploma, Bachelor and Graduate levels which focuses on the development of academic competence, professional skills with critical and creative abilities. The faculty aims to spearhead the advancement by offer several programmes, for undergraduates and postgraduates students. The programmes offered are The Diploma in Music , The Bachelor of Music Education (Hons), The Bachelor of Music Composition (Hons.) , Bachelor Of Music Performance (Hons.) , Bachelor Of Music Business (Hons.) , Master Of Music (By Research), Phd In Music (By Research) music performance, music composition, music business and music education in Malaysia.
