Abstract
The study focuses on the perceptual learning styles and preferences of Kolej Universiti Sains dan Teknologi Malaysia (KUSTEM) students in the learning of English as a second language. As we all know English has been taught in Malaysia from primary school till university level, yet most students cannot converse well in the language. One of the reason is the teacher does not imply the proper method and the preferred by the students.
Through this research, the focussed were on what are the styles preferred by the KUSTEM students and enhance them in the learning of English as a Second Language. Some students prefer kinesthetic and some were visual learners and tactile learners were the utmost. Besides that the students do not rigid to the styles they preferred.
