Research Grant Management System (RGMS) / Hazirah Afifah Abd Rahim

The purpose of this study is to identify the current problem face by the staff of Research Management Unit (RMU) and lecturers that involves with research activity and to propose a possible solution to solve their problems. One of the promising solutions that have being identified is by developing a system that can help them in managing the research activity. The system called Research Grant Management System (RGMS). With the system, the movement of allocating and claim the grant can be managed effectively. RGMS also able to help researcher to submit any documents regarding their research activity efficiently. The evaluation of the system start once the development of the system has been completed. The purpose of system evaluation is to know whether the system fulfil the requirements of the users or not. The system was tested by the developer of the system and a tester at the first place. Then the system was evaluated by the experts and users. Based on the overall result shows, majority of the respondents agreed that RGMS helps them in many ways and more efficient with the highest mean is 4.53 (SD=0.507). As a conclusion, the finding shows that both admin and researchers are agreed that RGMS will give more benefits towards them.
