Abstract

The purpose of this research is all about the agricultural sector especially in paddy plantation which to investigate what is the factor that affecting the income of rice farmer in Tambunan. Whereby paddy is one of the major crops that planted by Dusun community. As it is for their food sufficient and also can increase their income itself. The objectives of this study is to determine factors affecting income of rice farmer. The factors that include in this study would be the size of paddy farm, an experience of farmer and the irrigation system. The simple random sampling was used to chose the households of paddy farmers as respondents. This research is carried out from questionnaire paper and it involves 137 respondents from Tambunan. Therefore, IBM SPSS Statistic Version 22 are used to analyse the data. In this study, found that the size of paddy farm and irrigation system are significantly related to the income of rice farmer meanwhile the experience of farmer are not significant with the income of rice farmer.
