Abstract

This paper investigates the tourism industry impact on Malaysia economic growth. The determinant impacts towards of economic growth are tourist expenditure, employment, Foreign Direct Investment and taxation over the period 30 years from the year 1980 until 2009. For this study, the researcher collected secondary data and analyze by using regression analysis. This study explains the factor contributing to tourism industry impact on Malaysia economic growth. On this study, employment and Foreign Direct Investment have significant relationship with economic growth while tourist expenditure and taxation have no significant relationship with the economic growth for Malaysia.
