Pusat Pengeluaran Benih Padi (PPBP) was establishing in 2003 as a wholly Government-owned company to produce and supply paddy seeds to the farmers in Sabah state.lt was located at Timbang Menggaris, which is 37 kilometres from Kota Belud town and it is along the way to Kudat. The PPBP have their own mill that has capacity 2000 metric tonne to process the seeds and all machinery equipment were import from Cimbria Unigrain,Denmark. They start their operation on august november 2006 and officially launched on January 8, 2008 by Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Hj. Aman, Chief Ministerof Sabah.
