Abstract

Industrial training is an important phase of a student life. A well planned, properly executed and evaluated industrial training helps a lot m developing a professional attitude. It developed an awareness of industrial approach to problem solving, based on a broad understanding of process and mode of operation of organization. During a period of two months training at Jabatan Kerja Raya Daerah Johor Bahru, most of the theoretical knowledge that has been gained during the course of studies is put to test and can relate to the technical works.
Jabatan Kerja Raya Daerah Johor Bahru, abbreviated JKR, is the federal government department in Malaysia under Ministry of Works Malaysia (MOW) which is responsible for construction and maintenance of public infrastructure in West Malaysia and Labuan. For these purposes, JKR has various departments such as Administration Department, Financial Department, Contract and Quantity Surveying Department, Road Facility Department, Building Department, and Building Facility Department.
