Abstract
The study was conducted to investigate the common grammar errors regarding subject-verb agreement performed by UiTM TESL students and the factors that contributed to the errors performed. A total of 40 UiTM TESL students from semester 8 were chosen as participants. An error analysis on the students' assignments was done. The number of errors regarding subject-verb agreement was tabulated. The result of the study suggested that the most common grammar errors regarding subject verb agreement performed by UiTM TESL students was on simple subject-verb agreement. Among the factor that was found to contribute to the errors was the influence of mother-tongue, which is Malay.
