Abstract
This paper has investigated the impact of crude oil prices on edible oil prices in Malaysia.
This research that been conducted by using secondary data where sources are collected from
Index Mundi, Malaysia Palm Oil Board and Worldbank which covered the duration from
year 1999 until 2017 by using monthly basis. Therefore, Crude Oil Price (CRUDE) will be
the dependant variable while Palm Oil Price (PALM), Soybean Oil Price (SOYBEAN) and
Coconut Oil Price (COCONUT) as independent variable in this research. The result shows
that the independent variables have positive and negative relationship toward dependent
variables in this study.
