Parents’ preference for their children recreation activities at Taman Jubli Perak, Sungai Petani Kedah / Nurul Aqilah Sulaiman

The purpose of the study is to provide adventure and creative playground for children followed by parent’s preference for their children. The goal of this final year project is to study about the types of activities that parents’ preference for their children outdoor activities at Taman Jubli Perak, Sungai Petani. The objectives is to identify the way and solution about the problem of children recreation activities. Second objective is to analyses the questionnaires data that get from parents about the recreation issues. The last is to propose and recommended on provide more adventures activities for children based on physical activities and physical development. In addition, the site location in Taman Jubli Perak, Sungai Petani, Kedah. The method to collect the data will be based on observation and questionnaire by 32 respondents. Based on findings, most of respondents are not satisfied with the convenience of the playground in Taman Jubli Perak. Parents think that interaction with natural environments is importance part in childhood because children have the opportunity to explore the world around them and learn while playing. From that respondents choose to encourage children to engage in physically activity for their outdoor activity. In conclusion, from this final year project it has been learned that the adventure and creative children's playground is very important for children physical health and well-being.
