A manual way of paper-based system is believed to have a lot of disadvantages rather than advantages which is wasting time, inefficient and costly. This factor consumes a lot of time to retrieve those documents paper when needed. The use of manual procedure also can lead to data loss as the document paper is easy to be broken or destroyed. Web-based application for Car Rental Service System aims to modify the existing manual paper-based system management to site web-based application system. The purpose of the study is to establish and maintain an efficient car reservation system where can keep the processes in an orderly manner and in an electronic management system to save time and cost. This project uses PHP programming language together with HTML and CSS and MySQL as a database to complete the process of the system. The usability testing was conducted on seven (7) respondents to evaluate the developed system with a post-task questionnaire and most of them gave positive respond. The problem and limitations of the system as well recommendations were identified for future work of research in the last chapter.
