The Travel behaviour pattern on private transportation to Seremban 2, Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus / Muhammad Izzul Haziq Abd Halim

Travel behaviour patterns have been examined extensively in the field of transportation planning. Travel behaviour pattern such as on how travel time consumption seems constant and independent of the economic and social situation and how improvements in speed increase trip length. The mode of transportation available is an important factor to mobility management. For this study, the travel behaviour pattern will be focused on the transportation modes of ‘private transport’ such as car, motorcycle and bicycle. However, several factors that
affects in travel behaviour pattern which are the trips distance and time taken, catchment area radius, location of trips activities or journey purposes, modes choice (private transportation). In the case of trips activities for home-based, five categories are usually used such as work
trips, educational trips, shopping trips, social trips and recreation trips. This study was conducted using observation and questionnaire to collect the data analysis and findings to identify the issues and problems of the study. The total respondents that have been developed
is 30 respondents. The findings show that the travel behaviour pattern of respondent to move some place to other place such as from home to trips activities (Seremban 2) when using a modes choice (car, motorcycle and bicycle) and several factors of travel behaviour pattern. Lastly, the recommendations of this study want to create a flexible catchment area radius, locating of trips activities and efficient transportation modes (private transport) that can
maximize in travel distance, travel time taken and creating an efficient and sustainable accessibility standard in every types of private transportations to Seremban 2 area.
