Case Study : Air Terjun Laundry / Nazliatul Haiza Noordin

This is an attempt to know how the theories can be applied to practical situation. As a student in UiTM Kota Bharu, it is a part of study for everyone to undergo a case study project. In this case, I got the opportunity to do some research to do some research on a company which had self and left services of dry cleaning and laundry that located at Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
In the first part of the project, the general information of company has been collected by interviewing the owner of Air Terjun Laundry. The second part of the report contains the specialized subject study.
Objective of the project is to work on the background, organizational structure, products and services that provided by Air Terjun Laundry. Next, I study about the technology of dry cleaning and laundry. I also study about the business, marketing of the company and its operational strategy in promoting their products which we find quite interesting. Lastly, I have do some research about the company’s financial achievements regarding how they manage their financial as well as the achievements that they gained from the financial management.
Goals indicate what a business unit wants to achieve. Strategy is an action plan for getting the goals. Every business must design a strategy for achieving its goals, consisting of a marketing strategy, and an effective management. In this case study, I analysed the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of this company in real business world by using SWOT analysis. An innovation regarding on how to solve the problem has been decided and it was continued in the New Product Development task.
