Abstract
Universiti Teknologi MARA is the biggest University in Malaysia which has 16 Faculties, offering 71 fields of study to Bumiputra students. Apart from its main campus in Shah Alam, it has 11 branch campuses over the country. The Student has been reached up to 100,000 students a year.
Considering the size, condition and location, Sweet Hut Gift Shop saw this as a business opportunity to open this exclusive gift store in Uitm Shah Alam. We hopes to be in this retail gift market to attract students that value the convenience of purchasing quality yet affordable items as gifts and souvenirs or purchase the product for themselves
For the starting year 2005, SHGS projects its sales to be approximately RM5,449.60 by the end of the first year of operation. For the following year, the company plans to expand to direct mail catalog sales by subscribing in an established catalog, with a similar target market. SHGS also plans to capitalize on technology by developing a web site displaying the gifts and souvenirs.
The projected sales will be increased by 40% in daily sales revenue which estimated approximately RM25,852 a year in 2006.
