Abstract
Autism Traffic Light Play (ATLP) is a sensory play for special needs children especially children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It is generated by using LED light, colour paper, clipper, battery, and cardboard. This product needs three colours of LED lights and colour papers which are red, yellow, and green which will represent traffic light colour. It will have the meaning for each colour on the cardboard which are red (stop), yellow (ready to stop), and green (go). ATLP use clipper to turn on the light by clipping to any leg of LED light. Next, ATLP also use battery for electrical power since battery will not produce strong electrical power for safety purpose.
ATLP have the features that autism children need. The key feature of the product is to help in fine motor problems which is by clipping the clipper to the LED light which will enhance their finger dexterity, and hand eyes coordination. Then, red, yellow, or green LED light will turn on depends on the clipper clip to which colour of LED light’s leg. It will attract them to focus on which colour they will clip. Then, it is also will be fun for them during rehabilitation process as the light will turn on. Thus, our product will be very beneficial to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) especially for them who have sensory problem and lack of focus.
