A study on common defects in resort chalet / Marwan Shah Mohamed

The preparation of this dissertation was mainly motivated by the desire to provide an overview of study on common defects in the resort. The study has specific aim and objectives. The primary aim of this study is to determine the common defects on the selected area. The second objective is to identify the satisfaction level of the occupants and users in the resort. Third objective is identifying the area of the resort and their facilities and also to define the construction method of the resort and last objective is to give recommendations on the methods and techniques for the remedies. This dissertation includes the outlines of the introduction to the subjects and each sub topic, and also explained elaborate about the resort, characteristic of resort and the design of the resort. Research methodology which had been applied in the three case studies is through by making a questionnaire to the building user include everyone. From the analysis it can be found that the defects on the building at three case studies are not harmful to the management of the resort and also to the guest, and also to the building structure itself. The major problem on those three case study building which is level of maintenance, several defect on structure and the user satisfaction of the building facilities and conditions that overall are in good condition. Finally, conclusion from the research findings and development of recommendations for future improvement on government building selected and other building related.
