Abstract
Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam is a neighbor country who shares several similarity of demographic such as race, religion, language use and many other several factors. Both countries have done bilateral trade since 1984 but both countries are not the major contributor in import and export performance of the two countries. Henceforth, this project paper was intended to study the prospects of increment in future bilateral trade between these two countries and also the determinants of trade. The study is done by using secondary data. Data that is needed in this research is import and export data for both countries and also the exchange rate data in terms of US Dollar with the time frame of 11 years from 1996 until 2006. Research also is done to know why that there is so much of land that is not being developed by the government of Brunei. They are too dependent on the oil and liquefied natural gas industries. With such emphasis, there should be more development, as well as improvement in trade in order to increase the trade trend.
