Econometrics serves as a vital interdisciplinary bridge integrating economic theory, mathematics, and statistical inference to empirically test economic relationships and guide data-driven decision-making. However, delivering introductory econometrics in higher education presents multifaceted pedagogical challenges. This study examines the core instructional hurdles educators encounter, notably conceptual abstraction surrounding regression assumptions, mathematical rigor in derivations, statistical misinterpretation of diagnostic metrics, and the practical friction of integrating software tools such as R, Stata, EViews, and Python alongside dense theoretical curricula. In response to cognitive overload and student disengagement stemming from purely lecture-based delivery, the paper highlights the necessity of an integrated pedagogical framework that connects economic speculation directly with empirical verification. By embedding hands-on data applications, real-world case analysis, and active interpretation of regression models, the proposed approach aims to bridge the divide between theoretical mechanics and applied economic inquiry.
