Designing visual learning tools for children with down syndrome

Abdul Jalil, Nur Fatin Ezzaty (2026) Designing visual learning tools for children with down syndrome. [Student Project]
Abstract

This Final Year Project aims to develop a visual learning tool that supports the educational needs of children with Down Syndrome in Malaysia. Children with Down Syndrome often experience cognitive and communication challenges that can affect their learning progress, while existing educational resources are often not designed specifically for their needs. This study investigates the learning difficulties faced by these children and identifies visual design elements that can enhance understanding, attention, and engagement.
