Abstract

This paper reviews how structured physical exercise impacts esports performance based on studies published between two thousand ten and May two thousand twenty five. The findings demonstrate that both short term and long term physical training significantly enhance essential cognitive and physical abilities in esports players. Specifically short sessions of high intensity interval training and sprint exercises immediately boost reaction time decision making and gaming accuracy. Furthermore multi week training programs produce lasting benefits such as notable improvements in flicking accuracy and decision making capabilities. These gains are largely driven by exercise promoting neuroplasticity and increasing beneficial brain chemicals that support cognitive performance.
