Abstract

The impact of noise on acoustic quality of classroom in University Teknologi MARA Dungun has received our main attention. The main external factors that affect the acoustic quality are traffic noise, public works, and external disturbance. Futhermore, the students themselves are the source of noise. The investigation took place in 3 different classrooms in UiTM Dungun by using Signal Scope apps apple. The manipulation of room acoustic properties is universally known by the term vario-acoustic as well as variable acoustic. In open space, sound travels unimpeded in all direction from a point source. In real room, the space has been divided into 8 points to measure the sound pressure level at 4 different frequencies. By using measurement application like Signal Scope from apps store, we can investigate the sound quality for 3 different classrooms in UiTM Dungun. The main contribution from this research, is to provide the knowledge regarding sound quality to ensure a smooth learning process in the classroom and to study the acoustic properties and their effect in classrooms.
