This paper explores the unique pedagogical dynamics and practical relevance of teaching personal financial planning to adult distance learners enrolled in part-time degree programmes. Unlike traditional full-time undergraduate students, adult distance learners balance professional commitments, family obligations, and personal responsibilities, bringing a wealth of real-world financial realities into the learning environment. By integrating their lived experiences such as household budgeting, debt management, loan repayments, and retirement planning with academic concepts, the classroom evolves beyond simple knowledge delivery into a space of practical application. The study highlights that personal financial planning serves not merely as a theoretical subject but as an actionable framework that directly enhances adult learners' real-life financial decision-making and long-term financial security.
