Industrial Training (CSC339), also known as practical training, is a compulsory course that must be completed by Diploma in Computer Science students from UiTM Sabah Branch during their final semester. The training period lasts for six months and serves as an important platform for students to gain real-world working experience. Through this training, students are exposed to actual workplace environments, allowing them to understand professional responsibilities, work culture, and challenges beyond the classroom. For this course, I was required to undergo my internship at an organization related to the field of Information Technology or Computer Science, in line with the knowledge and skills I had gained throughout my studies from Semester 1 until Semester 4. I was given the opportunity to complete my industrial training at Yayasan Sabah, where I was involved in various IT related tasks and mainly on system development activities. As part of the course requirements, I was also required to develop at least one system during the internship period. My performance throughout the training was evaluated based on several components, including the industrial training report, logbook and final presentation. During the internship, I received continuous guidance and support from my academic supervisor and co-academic supervisor from UiTM Sabah Branch, as well as my industry supervisor at Yayasan Sabah. This report presents an overview of the activities and system development work I carried out during my training, along with a detailed explanation of the processes involved and the timeline of my work. Overall, the CSC339 course provided me with valuable hands-on experience in a real working environment. It helped me strengthen my technical and practical skills in system and software development, while also improving my sense of responsibility, time management and professionalism. The experience I gained during this industrial training has prepared me better for future career challenges and professional growth.
