Industrial training is one of the requirements for Faculty of Plantation Technology and Management students to get qualification for graduating in Diploma of Plantation Management. This industrial training or this internship programme is compulsory for all of the students under this university programme. Industrial training refers to work experience that is relevant to professional development prior to graduation. The main objective of industrial training is to expose the students to experience the real working environment that related to the programme choose by student at university end enables the students to experience the technology use during practical training Early exposure of the working environment is important for the students as it can increase the knowledge as well as the fitness and experience towards the organization. Besides, competent students can be produced by having an exposure on industrial training as this will enhance their soft skills, professionalism and working skills. Industrial training can also narrow the gap between Institute of Higher Education (IPT) and industries in Malaysia.
