Abstract
In the organizational context, performance is usually defined as the extent to which an organizational member contributes to achieving the goals of the organizational. Employees are primary source of competitive advantage in service-oriented organization (Luthans & Stajkovic, 1999). Employee performance is frequently described as a joint function of ability and motivation and one of the most important tasks facing a manager is motivating employees to perform to the best of their ability (Moorhead & Griffin, 1998). In fact, motivation is one of the most important in affecting employee performance.
