Abstract

Since, the COVID-19 outbreak, people are encouraged to eat healthy food including fruits. Eating fruit has many health benefits, for instance, lowering the risk of a certain disease. However, nowadays, not all people like to eat fruits which are very crucial for nutrients needed to maintain body health. Fruits can be consumed in fresh, frozen, canned, dried, or dehydrated forms. Fruits can also be consumed whole, sliced into pieces, pureed, mashed, or cooked. Therefore, halwa candy was introduced as an alternative, natural sweet for edible fruit. Halwa candy is produced for all ages group to enjoy the fruits in the form of candy and at the same time obtain its health benefits. It is convenient for the consumers to bring the Halwa candy around and enjoy it at any time of the day since the size of the candy is small-sized candy and portable. The ingredients are mainly halal gelatin, fruit extracts and honey. Thus, all the ingredients selected are halal and organic in order to make sure that the candy is healthy to consume. These products can find good marketable value in the future.
