Abstract

This paper highlights and evaluates the implementation of the "Basic SPSS Workshop 2026," an academic capacity-building initiative designed to empower undergraduate students with essential data analysis and research competencies. The study demonstrates how structured, hands-on statistical training utilizing IBM SPSS software bridges the gap between theoretical methodology and practical data execution. By focusing on fundamental data management skills—including dataset preparation, descriptive statistics, normality testing, and basic inferential statistical tests—the workshop enhances analytical capabilities, improves research self-efficacy, and fosters critical thinking required for undergraduate capstone projects and future scientific inquiry. Ultimately, this educational intervention serves as a sustainable model for higher education institutions seeking to fortify research literacy, elevate academic performance, and prepare undergraduates for data-driven professional environments.
