This qualitative study explores the complex challenges and multi-dimensional demands associated with practicing healthy eating among young adults aged 18 to 29. Utilizing in-depth qualitative inquiry, the research identifies key individual, social, and environmental barriers that hinder consistent adherence to nutritious diets within this demographic. The findings reveal that financial constraints, busy academic or professional schedules, limited culinary skills, and ubiquitous access to ultra-processed convenience foods significantly impede healthy lifestyle choices. Furthermore, social dynamics and peer influences emerge as critical determinants shaping dietary behaviors. Conversely, high health literacy, personal motivation, and supportive environments act as key facilitators enabling healthy eating habits. The insights from this study emphasize the imperative for targeted public health strategies, accessible nutritional education, and policy interventions designed to create supportive food environments tailored to the distinct socio-economic realities of young adults.
