UiTM Perak organises landscape photography competition to promote Green Campus awareness

Seri Iskandar, 11 February 2026 – Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Perak reinforced its commitment to environmental sustainability by organising the UiTM Perak Landscape Photography Competition, a Green Campus initiative designed to cultivate environmental appreciation and encourage a sustainable lifestyle among the university community. The competition, which commenced in November 2025, attracted the participation of 35 UiTM Perak students, who captured the natural beauty and scenic landscapes of the Seri Iskandar campus through their creative photography. The initiative encouraged students to observe, appreciate, and showcase the university's green environment while promoting environmental awareness through visual storytelling. The prize-giving ceremony was held on 11 February 2026 at 4.00 p.m. by the picturesque UiTM Perak Lake, providing a relaxed and engaging atmosphere that reflected the Green Campus philosophy of integrating recreation, well-being, and environmental appreciation. The programme was organised by Team 3: Green Lifestyles and Recreational under the coordination of Dr. Ermi Syahira Abd. Jamil, Puan Norita Abdul Kadir, and the organising committee. To recognise participants' creativity and outstanding contributions, cash prizes were awarded to the winners, with RM100 for first place, RM70 for second place, and RM50 for third place.
