Abstract
Gold zakat is a mandatory fraction of zakat that Muslim individuals must give according to specific regulations. Despite this, statistics show that gold zakat collection ranks lowest compared to other types, such as income zakat and business zakat, which are quantified by the total income or profit of a business. Unlike these, gold zakat is more individualized, with ownership not needing to be declared. As a result, the responsibility for paying gold zakat lies solely on the individual's awareness and sense of obligation. Therefore, the MyDiary Gold Apps (MyGold) will be introduced to help individuals monitor their personal gold savings and gold jewelry for zakat payment purposes. This app provides convenience for storing data such as the weight of owned gold, the start date, and end date of storing or wearing jewelry to allow the app to calculate the number of hauls and determine zakat payments as required. Functions such as add, search, update, and delete are provided in this app to help individuals make it a userfriendly gold diary. With the use of this app, Muslim individuals become more aware and knowledgeable about the conditions of gold zakat because this app also provides information related to gold zakat. The existence of this app indirectly increases awareness among individuals and consequently enhances the collection rate of gold zakat in the country. Furthermore, this app has high commercial value among zakat institutions as it serves as a platform between gold zakat payers and zakat institutions.
