Industrial Visitors Lecturer Management System (SPPPI)

There are various Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that need to be achieved in the Department of Polytechnic Education and Community College Education (JPPKK). Therefore, each Academic Department in Polytechnic Education and Community Colleges Education must achieve a minimum number of Industry Visiting Lecturers (PPI)) implementation hours. When implementing this PPI program, there are a few processes that need to be followed which involved before, during, and after the program takes place. Besides that, various forms need to be submitted as proof of KPI-PPI implementation. Realizing the importance of the KPIs’ assigned to the Head of the Department (HOD), this innovation system called the Industrial Visitors Lecturer Management System (SPPPI) is developed. The system is comprehensive in terms of the implementation of the process before, during, and after the program. Moreover, all the documents are kept safe in the system and easy to download when needed by the HOD or Deputy Director of the Academic. These systems work as a one-stop centre both for all the management teams, connected with the lecturers to the HOD, so the team management could observe the process. Secondly, it can reduce time and work more efficiently and all the forms and documents can be easily reached and downloaded. Finally, all the documents are stored and easy to access when needed. Questionnaires were distributed to 16 lecturers, PPI Coordinators, and PPI implementors in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality, Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin. Descriptive statistics showed that the highest items all of them agreed this system is convenient in sharing the information, some numbers showed easy to get the forms and process it and reduce times when storing the documents. In addition, this system makes work more efficient, easy to access everywhere, and obtained correct information that is needed. These findings are useful for us to develop and enhance the system for other Polytechnic and Collage Community Institutions.
