Maznor Infinite Trading.

The current report is prepared as a partial task of the internship programme related to the course HRM 666 at the Universiti Teknologi/Mara (UiTM), campus of bandaraya, Melaka branch, Melaka campus. It is an account of the 24-week internship experience at Maznor Infinite Trading, a construction company based in Kuantan, which occurred between 22 September 2025 and 6 March 2026. This placement provided the applicant with important experience in filling the gap between theoretical training in the academic world and the real implementation of human resource management in the construction business which is a dynamic industry. The applicant is also allocated to the Human Resources/Administration department during the internship period and was given the opportunity to observe and experience some of the fundamental HR operations. The main aim of this report is to critically analyze these practices in Maznor Infinite Trading. The main areas that will be examined are the human resource planning, staffing and recruitment strategy, training and development programmes, performance appraisal systems, compensation and benefits structures, employee relations and most importantly, on-site safety, health and wellbeing. The report will also determine the strengths of the existing HR practices of the company and outline the areas that can be improved. The results will be put into context with the available knowledge in the scholarly literature and sensible evidence-based recommendations will be made to improve the human resource management performance at Maznor Infinite Trading. Generally, the internship was a very educative experience, as it broadened the practical level of proficiency of the applicant by exposing him to the real world challenges and issues involved in the construction industry. The motivation and encouragement provided by the supervisor and peers were worth a lot. As a result, the applicant is recommending Maznor Infinite Trading as a potential host company where the undergraduate group can be taken to as future internship placement.
