Boustead Plantations Berhad.

My industrial training was conducted in Boustead Plantations Berhad, 11 August 2025 to 23 January 2026 as part of my academic programme requirement. The primary goal of the internship was both to give me some exposure to a working environment and to enable me to practice the theoretical information learnt in a classroom in the field of work setting. My internship experience was spent working in the Finance Department where I was exposed to a number of financial and accounting related tasks. The department is very instrumental in facilitating the smooth running of the financial operations of the company such as the financial reporting, financial documents, verification of transactions and adherence to internal policies and accounting standards. During my placement in this department, I had a better idea of how financial processes in a large plantation based organization are handled.I was under close supervision of Ms. Siti Nor Ariffah binti Khalid and Mr. Abdul Hakim bin Abdul Wahab. The two supervisors also gave me constant guidance, instructions and constructive feedback that enabled me to conduct my tasks more efficiently. They were very helpful and ready to share their knowledge which contributed much to my learning process and helped me to become more accustomed to the professional working environment. The corporate culture and organizational structure of Boustead Plantations Berhad was also revealed to me through this internship. I was taught the value of teamwork, time management, responsibility and effective communication in day to day work accomplishment. Through the training with the seasoned employees I was able to enhance both my skills in finance related matters as well as soft skills like professionalism, problem solving and appropriate workplace ethics. In general, this report provides a general overview of my industrial experience at Boustead Plantations Berhad, the company profile, my placement in the Finance Department, duties and responsibilities bestowed on me, skills and knowledge acquired and a fleeting SWOT analysis. The experience of this internship has made a great impact on my personal and professional growth as it helped me become more confident in myself and sense of responsibility and willingness to take the challenges of the workplace.
