Caring for our heroes: ENT health screening in conjunction with 219th Police Day celebration (2026)

This article documents and evaluates the operational execution and clinical outcomes of the "Caring for Our Heroes" Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) health screening program, organized in conjunction with the 219th Police Day Celebration in 2026. Recognizing that law enforcement personnel face unique occupational hazards—including prolonged exposure to acoustic trauma, sirens, and environmental pollutants—this community outreach initiative aimed to provide comprehensive otolaryngological assessments for police officers. The study analyzes the prevalence of occupational hearing loss, chronic rhinitis, and other ENT morbidities identified during the screening, while emphasizing the role of early preventive interventions and targeted health education. The findings underscore the efficacy of integrating specialized healthcare screenings into institutional milestone celebrations, serving as a replicable public health model to enhance the occupational welfare and long-term health readiness of frontline security forces.
