Trash 2 treasure

UiTM, Kolej Pengajian Kejuruteraan (2024) Trash 2 treasure. Bulletin. School of Civil Engineering, Shah Alam.

Abstract

On May 11, 2024, students from the School of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, and UiTM organised the “Trash to Treasure” programme at SK Seafield 3 in Subang Jaya. This collaborative initiative brought together Persatuan Ibu Bapa dan Guru (PIBG), SK Seafield 3, Presidency University (India), and Macro Dimension Concrete Sdn. Bhd. (MDC). The program's objective was to perform maintenance on classroom concrete floors, addressing cracks and holes. This sustainable project used waste concrete as a replacement for normal concrete, followed by SIKA215 as a finishing layer. This programme, advised by Dr. Nur Izzati Ab Rani, has successfully demonstrated the power of communal collaboration and sustainable practices in construction.
