Abstract
In the economy, recession and economic turmoil are inevitable where it strikes suddenly and unexpectedly. The implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia to curb the spread of Covid-19 had an impact on the human lifestyle and also the economic sector in the country. All economic sectors, including the construction industry affected by the economic turmoil because of the contraction in the activities. Small and medium contractors as one of the industry players, had to bear the adversities during the economic turmoil. This research aims to assist the G3 contractor in Kedah to face economic turmoil by planning strategies to overcome their adversities. The research aim can be achieved by three research objectives which are to identify the adversities of G3 contractor in facing the current economic turmoil, to evaluate the impacts of the adversities to the G3 contractor in facing the current economic turmoil, and to suggest the strategies to overcome the adversities. The questionnaire had been distributed to 300 of 558 G3 contractor in Kedah that chosen through the convenience sampling method. Data obtained from 153 returned questionnaires then been analyzed using SPSS version 26 and presented in the table form.
