Abstract
This study investigates the impact of peer influence on e-sports interest among 417 students at UiTM Seremban 3, addressing a gap in understanding social motivations and gender-based differences. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach including surveys, interviews, and observations—the research employs Pearson correlation and independent t-tests to analyze the relationship between peer dynamics and engagement. The findings provide critical insights into the social factors driving e-sports participation within the Malaysian academic community.
