AKH Tax Services Sdn. Bhd.

This report provides a summary of my amazing six-month internship at AKH Tax Services, which operates under AKH Group of Companies, in Kuala Lumpur. In order to relate academic learning with practical experience, the internship was a final requirement' for my Degree in Bachelor of Finance. I worked in the tax and accounting department during the training period where I learned a lot about the fundamental operations of an audit and tax firm. Helping with client’s accounting entries, tax filing, documentation, data management, and taking part in various internal events and training sessions were among my responsible duties. The company's history, organizational structure, vision, mission, and goals are also highlighted in this report. Based on my observations, a thorough SWOT analysis was carried out to determine the organization's strengths, which include a balanced workload and a positive work environment, the weaknesses, which include outdated accounting software and ineffective filing system. For the opportunities there is benefit on the practical application and skill development and for the threats, which include constant changes in laws and minimal documentation for interns. To improve overall organizational performance, useful recommendations have been made for each point in accordance with this analysis. Lastly, my comprehension of business operations in a practical context has been strengthened during the internship, which has also given me the necessary skills for future employment. This internship has greatly improved my career readiness and helped me to define my path as I move from educational institutions to the workforce. Now, I feel more capable and self-assured person, prepared to take on new tasks and responsibilities in the corporate world especially in financial sectors, thanks to the experiences and difficulties I have faced along the way.
