This report provides a detailed overview of my six-month internship at University Malaya Specialist Centre (UMSC), a reputable and leading private healthcare institution in Malaysia. The report begins with a background of the organization, including its mission, vision, and core values, along with its significant role within the healthcare sector. UMSC is known for delivering high-quality medical services and maintaining a strong reputation for clinical excellence. A comprehensive SWOT analysis is included to examine the internal strengths and weaknesses of UMSC, as well as external opportunities and threats that impact its operations. This analysis helps to better understand the organization's strategic positioning and the challenges it faces in a competitive healthcare environment. The report also highlights the scope of my internship activities and responsibilities within the UMSC Finance Department. Throughout the internship, I was involved in a range of tasks related to financial reporting, data entry, and administrative processes. These experiences provided me with valuable hands-on knowledge and practical skills relevant to the working world, especially within a fast-paced healthcare setting.
