Abstract
20 November 2025, at the Kota Kinabalu Wetland Centre – Ramsar in the City, Likas, Sabah, an exhibition showcasing waste from electrical and electronic equipment as well as pre-used items was held. The event also featured an “Upcycling e-Waste” competition among higher education institutions (HEIs) in Sabah. Organized by the Sabah State Department of Environment and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the program involved several primary schools, including SK Lok Yuk, five HEIs—namely the Industrial Training Institute (ILP), MARA Skills Institute (IKM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Politeknik Kota Kinabalu—and various agencies and companies such as the Department of Environmental Protection, Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society, Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK), and several state tourism companies.
