PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd.

This report is about my six-month internship at PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd., located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 17th March 2025 to 2nd September 2025. PETRONAS Carigali is a well-known company in the oil and gas industry, especially in the upstream sector. During my internship, I gained useful work experience and learned how a big company operates in exploration and production. I worked in the Business Performance Improvement (Exploration) Department. My main tasks involved helping with data analysis, supporting projects to make processes better, coordinating activities, and tracking how well the department was performing. These tasks helped me understand how the company tries to improve its work and results in the exploration area. The goal of my internship was to give me real work experience and help me improve important skills like communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. While working at PETRONAS Carigali, I learned how they manage exploration projects, work together as a team, and use data to make smart decisions. This helped me get a clearer picture of how the oil and gas industry works. This report has five parts. The first part includes the cover page, executive summary, table of contents, and acknowledgements. The second part is about my personal profile and updated resume. The third part explains the company’s background, vision, mission, goals, organizational structure, and services. The fourth part talks about my internship experience, the department I worked in, my job duties, challenges I faced, skills I gained, and the benefits like allowance and work experience. The last part is a SWOT analysis of the company, followed by my discussion and suggestions based on what I learned.
