Abstract
On 13 June 2025, UiTM Sarawak branch hosted the “Closing The Loop: Used Oil Solution For A Greener Tomorrow” Campaign at its Samarahan 2 campus. Held from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm at PTAR and the student centre, the programme focused on collecting used cooking oil from students and staff as a step toward reducing pollution and promoting environmentally responsible waste disposal. The initiative aimed to educate the campus community on the harmful effects of improper oil disposal, such as water contamination and drainage issues. In addition to raising awareness, the campaign offered e-merit points and monetary rewards as incentives for participation—making sustainable action both impactful and rewarding. The event reflects UiTM Sarawak’s commitment to advancing sustainability and supporting the United Nations sustainable development goals (SDGS), particularly in promoting responsible consumption and production. it marks another step forward in creating a greener, more environmentally conscious campus.
