Tree planting & students engagement programme with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Sarawak energy

On 23 May 2025, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak branch, in collaboration with Sarawak Energy Berhad, organised a tree planting and student engagement programme at UiTM campus 1. This initiative, part of Sarawak Energy’s 10-Year Tree Planting And Protection Campaign, aims to plant and safeguard 500,000 trees by 2030, supporting the un sustainable development goals on climate action and life on land. The event featured tree-planting activities involving UiTM leaders, students, and Sarawak energy representatives, with the goal of rehabilitating catchment and mining areas and enhancing urban green spaces. A sharing session on internship and scholarship opportunities was also held, providing students with valuable exposure to realworld learning and potential career pathways in the energy sector.
