Abstract
On 11 June 2025, UiTM Penang branch, in collaboration with Petronas Chemical Group (PCG), successfully organised the PCG Be Green Sulam Programme at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Duri, Sungai Jawi, Penang. This initiative, part of the service learning malaysia (Sulam) framework, aimed to foster environmental consciousness, promote recycling practices, and instil responsible waste management habits among schoolchildren and the surrounding community. Officiated by Dr. Ahmad Asri Abd Samat, Deputy Rector (Student Affairs), the event highlighted UiTM’S active role in advancing sustainability through education. Also in attendance were SK Sungai Duri’s Headmaster, Mr. Faizal Abd Halim, community leaders, and faculty members from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering.
