Recycle for a better future: towards a sustainable & green campus

This programme was conducted over two days, on 5th May 2025 and 18th June 2025. During the programme, 112 students and staff from UiTM Melaka, Jasin campus worked together, demonstrating a strong spirit of recycling. A variety of recyclable items—including paper, cans, glass, and plastic—were collected and weighed by SWM Sdn Bhd. Additionally, some participants even brought in old bicycles and lorry tyres for recycling. A total of 845 kilograms of recyclable items were successfully collected. The collected items generated reward points in the kitarecycle application, credited to the FSKM UiTM Melaka Jasin campus trust fund account. The programme combined recycling collection activities on 5th May 2025 with a seminar held on 18th June 2025. The seminar featured three speakers: Ir Ts. Dr. Fariha Lokman from the Faculty Of Civil Engineering, UiTM Shah Alam; Dr. Khairul Fadzli Samat from the centre for smart environment (CENSEI), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia; And Encik Ahmad Fuad Ramdan, Corporate Communications and Government Affairs Executive at SWM Sdn. Bhd.
