University and industry have different objectives. The main objective of the industry is to gain profit and provide returns to its stakeholders. Meanwhile, the university's objective is knowledge generation, teaching, and learning. Nowadays, enhances the involvement of universities in collaboration projects with the industry and communities. The collaboration can provide benefits not only to the university but also to the industry and communities involved. Industry can increase resources, innovate, and achieve a competitive edge. Universities benefit from effective means to stay alongside changing market and industry dynamics and to comprehend the current requirements and desires of industry players. Besides, communities can improve their quality of life through the collaboration project. The collaboration addresses the existing and upcoming challenges faced by the collaboration stakeholders. However, establishing a successful collaboration project between universities, industry, and communities is difficult. Thus, this study discussed the advantages and experiences of collaboration. In addition, this study proposed the best practices for establishing a collaboration project between universities, industry, and communities.
