Abstract
The Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit UiTM, in collaboration with Star Medik Sdn. Bhd. (the sole distributor of the ventilator), conducted a one day workshop on the ASV mode mechanical ventilator on 28th January 2024. Participants included specialists, medical officers, nurses, medical assistants, and other medical personnel from various university hospitals and KKM Hospital. The aim of this workshop was to provide healthcare providers in-depth knowledge and understanding of the use of ASV mode mechanical ventilators in patients needing mechanical ventilation either in the intensive care unit (ICU) or emergency department.
