Abstract

Effective weight loss depends on two key factors: scientific understanding and consistent discipline, not fad products or shortcuts. It occurs when caloric intake is lower than the body’s energy expenditure, including the Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), prompting the body to use stored fat for energy. However, success is not just about numbers—the quality of food matters, and adequate protein intake helps preserve muscle, improve fullness, and support metabolism. Overall, sustainable weight loss is a gradual process driven by informed habits and consistency.
