Abstract
Chess is more than just a board game; it is a mental exercise that strengthens logical thinking and mathematical skills. Each move involves calculation, strategy, and pattern recognition, making chess a great tool for problem-solving. The game contains hidden mathematics, from counting possible moves to analyzing positions for example, the first four moves alone can create over 288 billion positions, and a knight has eight possible moves in the center but only two in a corner. In this way, chess acts as both a game and a practical math lab that trains the brain.
